I understand your complaint and it is somewhat valid but I think you have failed by trying to downplay what has gone wrong with 360 hardware. It's not some small acceptable oversight I'm sure MS is very pleased with your description of the 360 rrod. Are some media and gamers taking it to far.... sure, but I'm sure you weren't one of the gamers sending back his 360 5 or 6 times going thru the frustrating process over and over.

So according to you we should all just buy every console faulty or not and be happy. Also someone other than yourself should waste time researching the first 2 years of the 360 and the next 2....... pardon me for asking but what does that have to do with this version of the 360 being faulty and furthermore how does buying every console regardless of the problems help fix the problem? I am much more interested in 3d than any motion devices coming. I just think it will be able to immerse us as gamers into great games so much better. Imagine Uncharted 2 in 3d........... I can't wait to get killzone 3 simply because of 3d or how about GT5 in 3d..... I can't understand how any can't love 3d you don't have to buy anything if you don't want it and if you do than you buy a new TV. Have you watched the world cup in 3d, I hate soccer but in 3d its not bad..........
I agreed with your comment until you started to compare the 360 with other hardware, especially 10 year old hardware like the PS2. It's not acceptable for Sony, MS or Nintendo to release faulty hardware and you can't justify it by comparing MS's latest failure with failures of the past. I don't agree with MS's hardware failures so I won't spend my money or waste my time sending it bsck, that's how we as gamers let these companies know how we feel.
Well my thoughts on this goes as follows.... if you decide to buy the new 360S at this point (or any model 360) and the system fails you, then you are getting what you paid for. Seriously how long can we as gamers fault MS for us buying their unreliable hardware when we all know how this story usually ends? I mean if we keep putting up with why would MS change it hardware practices?
That's the TV I have (65inch). Lol I didn't even know it did 3d until a week ago and I've had the TV for over a year now. I will still be getting a newer 3d model but this will due for now
Honestly I never player FF13, I just didn't have the heart to go through with playing a game I knew I would hate. Furthermore I just felt FF VS just had an art style that felt like " next generation " you know like it would be something that really moved the rpg bar. All I needed was info on how the gameplay could enhance the FF experience, its still early but so far so very good. Well I'm just not all that excited about rising and I think comparing it mgs4 is a mistake. I understand we only have mgs rising E3 trailer to go by vs Mgs4 complete game but thus far rising looks to be a gimmick hack n slash game set in mgs game world. Well given MS history of crappy hardware I really have to take this seriously. Let's not just automaticly dismiss this just because you favor MS and the 360. This is a very real issue that we as gamers should be taking into consideration before dropping 299 on this hardware.
Fact of the matter is I don't own a 360 slim and until I do I am unable to say this claim is fake.
I'm done with FPS for this year, I will get killzone3 next year. I'm sorry but afyer CoD MW2 I'm FPS'd out. I think these companies have oversaturated the market.
By built-in in I meant either inside the hardware or inside the package. Either or its basically the same.360 slim and kinetic for 299.99 just seems like a fair deal, honestly it would have made a huge impact.

It's just not that simple. The new design is essentially 5 year old technology better manufactured insides at a high end price point. For 299.99 they should have thrown in kinetic built-in or xbl for a year. Then they leave the real consumers of the xbox brand out by given it away to media that already...
Honestly after carefully considering MS new slim I am more upset. Your telling me that for 299.99 I get what is essentially 5 year old technology. Well I tend to think MS giving away brand new redesigned 360s is just a shot to the real supporters of the console. Give me a reason other than positive media attention, that MS decided to go this route. It would have been much more impactful to give away these console via some xbl event tied to the conference. Essentially MS gave away more swag to industry insiders who already get plenty.

How is getting ESPN exclusive huge? ESPN is everywhere I get live ESPN on my HTC evo free. Seriously the last thing gamers need is ESPN on the damn 360. At this point MS is really confusing me, where is the old MS at. I prefer the MS at the start of this console generation as opposed to MS now.
